About

An independent guide to the neurotech revolution

NeuroTechGuide helps curious people, students, clinicians, builders and investors understand brain-computer interfaces and neurotechnology, without needing a neuroscience degree.

Why we exist

Brain-computer interfaces have moved from science fiction into clinical trials. People with paralysis are typing, speaking and controlling devices with their thoughts. Billions of dollars are flowing into the field, and lawmakers are writing the first rules for neural data.

But most coverage is either too technical or too sensational. We want to be the place you go to understand what's happening: what the technology really does, who's building it, and what it means for patients and for society.

What you'll find here

  • News: the important developments, with context and sources.
  • Glossary: beginner guides and clear definitions of every key term.
  • Directory: a searchable map of the companies, labs and organizations in the field.
  • The NeuroTechGuide Brief: a free weekly summary in your inbox.

A note on medical information

Our content is educational and is not medical advice. If you are considering a neurotechnology treatment or clinical trial, talk to a qualified clinician.

Our editorial principles

Clear over clever

We explain neurotech in plain English. Every technical term links to our Glossary.

Evidence over hype

We separate peer-reviewed results and regulatory milestones from press-release promises, and always link to sources.

Independent

Directory listings are free and editorial. Companies cannot pay to be included or to change what we write.

People first

Behind every BCI trial are participants living with paralysis, ALS or other conditions. We write with that in mind.
