Ampa has announced a nationwide US rollout of Ampa One, a portable, FDA-cleared transcranial magnetic stimulation system, along with an $8.5 million pre-Series A round led by Nexus NeuroTech Ventures. Total funding is now $18 million. The company is also developing “Ampa One Day”, which aims to compress a multi-week course of TMS into a single day.

Smaller, cheaper equipment and shorter protocols could make TMS, an established depression treatment, available in more places.
