Beacon Biosignals raises $86 million to build AI brain biomarkers from home EEG

The Series B backs Beacon's FDA-cleared Waveband headband and a growing neurodiagnostic dataset for drug trials.

Boston-based Beacon Biosignals has raised an $86 million Series B. Investors include Innoviva, Google Ventures, Nexus NeuroTech Ventures and Takeda. Beacon pairs its FDA-cleared Waveband EEG headband (formerly Dreem 3S) with AI analytics to measure brain activity during sleep and wake at home. Drug developers use the platform to track how treatments affect the brain.

The company says it is building the world’s largest neurodiagnostic dataset. Shortly afterward it expanded a multi-year narcolepsy collaboration with Takeda.
