Cognixion starts study pairing its EEG headset with Apple Vision Pro
The non-invasive trial tests whether brain signals, eye gaze and AI can help people with ALS, stroke or spinal cord injury communicate.
Cognixion has launched a clinical study combining its EEG-based brain-computer interface with Apple Vision Pro. Participants with ALS, stroke, traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury will use Cognixion’s biosensing hub with the headset’s accessibility features, such as eye tracking and dwell control, to communicate using brain signals, gaze or head movement. No surgery is involved. The company says the study runs through April 2026.
It is one of the first tests of a consumer mixed-reality headset as a platform for assistive BCIs.
