Epitel raises $26 million to bring weeks-long wireless EEG monitoring to more patients

Its REMI stick-on sensors let people record EEG at home for weeks; the company holds five FDA clearances.

Salt Lake City-based Epitel, a University of Utah spin-out, has raised a $26 million Series B co-led by Catalyst Health Ventures and Genoa Ventures. Its REMI system uses small wireless stick-on sensors so patients can record EEG at home for weeks, making seizures more likely to be captured than in short hospital tests. Epitel holds five FDA 510(k) clearances, including for AI-assisted event detection, and will use the money to expand sales to hospitals and neurology practices.

Many US hospitals can’t run EEG around the clock, so wearable monitoring could close a significant diagnostic gap.
