Nervonik raises $52.5 million for a sensing peripheral nerve stimulator for chronic pain
The Los Angeles company's platform combines stimulation with real-time physiological feedback to personalize pain therapy.
Nervonik has closed an oversubscribed $52.5 million Series B led by Amzak Health, with USVP, Lumira Ventures and others participating. The Los Angeles company is developing a peripheral nerve stimulation system for chronic pain that integrates sensing with stimulation, using real-time physiological feedback to tailor therapy. The funds will support development and commercialization.
Adding sensing, so stimulators respond to the body instead of running fixed settings, is a major trend across neuromodulation.
