Neurent Medical raises €62.5 million for nerve-targeting chronic rhinitis treatment
The Irish company's NEUROMARK system disables overactive nasal nerves using impedance-controlled radiofrequency energy.
Galway-based Neurent Medical has closed an oversubscribed €62.5 million (about $74 million) Series C led by MVM Partners with Sofinnova Partners. Its NEUROMARK system treats chronic rhinitis by targeting overactive posterior nasal nerves with radiofrequency energy, giving clinicians real-time feedback during the procedure. The money will fund commercial expansion and new clinical evidence.
Treating conditions by targeting the nerves that drive them, rather than with drugs, is a growing theme across medtech.
