Neuspera's tiny sacral nerve stimulator shows strong 12-month results for urge incontinence
In 128 implanted patients, 94% of responders cut urgent leakage episodes by at least half, with no serious device-related events.
Neuspera Medical has reported 12-month results from its pivotal SANS-UUI study of a miniaturized, wirelessly powered sacral neuromodulation implant for urinary urge incontinence. Among 128 implanted patients, 94% of responders saw urgent leakage episodes fall by at least half, 81% by at least 75%, and 43% became completely dry. The company reports no serious device-related adverse events or infections. The FDA approved the system in June 2025.
Smaller, battery-free implants are a key trend in nerve stimulation, reducing surgery and battery replacements.
