BlueWind Medical said on October 2 that the American Medical Association’s CPT Editorial Panel approved a new Category I CPT code for subfascial implantation of a tibial neuromodulation device, the procedure used for its FDA-approved Revi System for urgency urinary incontinence. The code takes effect on January 1, 2028. The company reports 79% efficacy and 95% patient satisfaction at three years.

A Category I code separates the deeper subfascial placement from subcutaneous tibial implants and lets physicians bill for it specifically, which usually helps a therapy get wider insurance coverage and adoption. The outcome figures come from the company.
