ONWARD Medical raises more than €50 million to advance spinal cord stimulation therapies
Prosthetics maker Ottobock anchored the private placement, which funds the implantable ARC-IM program and ARC-EX sales.
ONWARD Medical has raised €50.85 million in a private placement, with prosthetics company Ottobock as cornerstone investor alongside Invus and ASR. ONWARD says about 40% will fund its implantable ARC-IM system and clinical studies and about 30% will expand sales of its external ARC-EX therapy, giving it cash into at least the end of 2026.
ONWARD’s spinal stimulation, including its brain-linked ARC-BCI work, is one of the leading efforts to restore movement and body functions after spinal cord injury.
