Precision Neuroscience and Medtronic partner to combine a BCI with surgical navigation
The companies will integrate Precision's Layer 7 surface interface with Medtronic's StealthStation for real-time brain mapping during surgery.
Precision Neuroscience and Medtronic will co-develop an integration of Precision’s Layer 7 cortical interface with Medtronic’s StealthStation surgical navigation system. The goal is a single platform that shows surgeons both brain structure and real-time brain function during operations, removing the need for separate tools. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
The deal gives Precision a route into routine neurosurgery through one of the largest device companies, an early commercial use for its technology alongside longer-term BCI work.
