Science Corp. opens its BCI technology stack to other companies, starting with Neurosoft
In a multi-year deal, Swiss start-up Neurosoft will build on Science's clinical-grade neural recording tools, which the companies say cuts the cost of first-in-human trials.
Science Corporation has signed Neurosoft Bioelectronics as the first partner in its “BCI Ecosystem” program. Under the multi-year, multimillion-dollar agreement, Neurosoft will build on Science’s clinical-grade neural recording stack while developing its ultra-soft, fully implantable interfaces. The companies say building a full clinical-grade BCI can cost $75–100 million, while this route could enable first-in-human trials for under $5 million.
Shared platforms like this could let smaller teams test new electrode designs without rebuilding the whole system.
