Boston Scientific to acquire Valencia Technologies, maker of a coin-sized nerve implant for bladder control

Boston Scientific has agreed to acquire Valencia Technologies, maker of the eCoin, an FDA-approved, coin-sized implant placed under the skin near the ankle. It stimulates the tibial nerve to treat urge urinary incontinence linked to overactive bladder. Terms weren’t disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
It is Boston Scientific’s second small-neuromodulator acquisition in three months, after Nalu Medical (our coverage).
