Founded by Chad Bouton, the company launches stimulation and BCI products after Nature Medicine results in a man with complete paralysis.

Neuvotion, founded by Chad Bouton, has announced commercialization of its “brain-body interface” products, which combine wearable high-resolution muscle stimulation, spinal neuromodulation and minimally invasive BCIs to restore movement and sensation. The launch builds on the double neural bypass study Bouton led at the Feinstein Institutes, published in Nature Medicine (our coverage). Over three years, participant Keith Thomas regained the ability to feed himself and drink from a cup, with arm strength gains of 86% on his right side and 62% on his left.

The company says its first product is NeuStim, an AI-guided neuromodulation system.
