FDA lets Paradromics trial participants use their own phones and laptops with the BCI
The study expansion moves the Connexus implant beyond lab equipment toward everyday home use.
The FDA has approved an expansion of Paradromics’ Connect-One study that allows participants to use the Connexus brain-computer interface with their own laptops, tablets and phones, through the company’s software, rather than only with dedicated lab equipment.
Using personal devices is a step toward practical daily use. Weeks later, Paradromics reported that its first participant was speaking in real time, including on a phone call with family (our coverage).
