Omniscient's brain-mapping software cleared for deep brain stimulation planning

Quicktome DB automatically localizes DBS leads, segments deep structures and maps each patient's brain connectivity.

In briefRegulationNeuromodulation

Omniscient Neurotechnology has received its third FDA 510(k) clearance, for Quicktome DB, a deep brain stimulation workflow in its connectomics platform. The software automates imaging analysis to locate DBS leads, outline deep brain structures and map the patient’s brain networks. This gives clinicians a shared, patient-specific view from implantation through programming.

As DBS becomes more personalized and adaptive, software that shows exactly where leads sit relative to brain networks is becoming part of standard care. Omniscient raised $27.2 million in May (our coverage).
